Prevention First. Health Always. Care That Connects.

For Aliya Jurisic, great oral healthcare isn’t simply about cleaning teeth. It’s about preventing disease, educating patients and helping people understand what is happening in their mouth and why it matters.

That philosophy makes Aliya a natural fit at iDental Surgery, Australia’s award-winning home of Complete Wellness Dentistry.

Aliya completed her Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney, with her clinical training taking place across Westmead Hospital, Nepean Hospital and Sydney Dental Hospital. Her experience included periodontal and preventative care, comprehensive oral examinations, radiographs, treatment planning, restorative procedures and patient education.

Aliya has a particular interest in preventative dentistry, periodontal health and oral hygiene education.

She believes patients should understand their oral health rather than simply being told what treatment they need. That means taking the time to explain what she sees, helping patients improve their home care and identifying potential concerns early.

Her clinical experience includes periodontal assessment and diagnosis, supragingival cleaning and subgingival debridement, ultrasonic and hand instrumentation, prophylaxis and Airflow.

It’s an approach that aligns closely with Complete Wellness Dentistry at iDental Surgery, where prevention and maintaining a healthy oral environment are central to the way we care for our patients.

Aliya has a strong interest in family and paediatric dentistry, particularly preventative therapies, oral hygiene education and early diagnosis. She also has an interest in maintaining functional airways as part of her broader approach to oral health.

For our younger patients, that matters.

Early dental experiences can shape how a child feels about visiting the dentist for years to come. Aliya focuses on establishing trust, communicating in a way children can understand and helping families develop healthier oral habits from an early age.

Her paediatric clinical experience has included examinations, preventative treatments and restorations of primary teeth, including the Hall Technique for stainless-steel crowns.

Before entering oral healthcare, Aliya built an extensive professional career across accounting, finance, engineering, fintech and professional services, working in both Australia and the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has professional accounting qualifications as a CPA and CA.

That experience brings something different to the treatment room: maturity, professionalism, communication skills and an ability to connect with people from many different backgrounds.

Aliya wants her patients to feel comfortable asking questions, to understand their care and to leave feeling that they have been genuinely listened to.

Outside dentistry, Aliya enjoys tennis, skiing, travelling, fitness and cooking.

At iDental Surgery, Aliya brings together clinical care, prevention, education and a genuine enthusiasm for helping people take better care of their oral health.

Because sometimes the most powerful dentistry is the treatment you can prevent needing in the first place.
