With 17 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Rita Kentjung brings an impressive depth of clinical knowledge to the team at iDental Surgery, Australia’s award-winning home of Complete Wellness Dentistry.

But what patients are likely to notice first is her warm, kind and considered approach.

An Inner West local herself, Dr. Rita loves the opportunity to care for people within the community she calls home. She believes good dentistry starts with listening, building trust and understanding the individual sitting in the chair, not simply treating a tooth.

Dr. Rita graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry (Honours) from the University of Sydney in 2009, following an earlier Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from UNSW.

Over her career, she has developed extensive experience across general, preventative and restorative dentistry, including crowns, implant crowns, root canal treatment, periodontal care, surgical extractions and dentures. She is also experienced in digital dentistry, including CEREC, Medit scanning and CAD technology.

Her experience extends beyond treating patients. Dr. Rita has also mentored junior dentists, sharing the knowledge and clinical experience she has developed throughout her career.

For Dr. Rita, dentistry is about helping patients feel informed, comfortable and confident about their care. Her focus on prevention and treating each patient as an individual makes her a natural fit for iDental Surgery’s Complete Wellness Dentistry philosophy.

Dr. Rita is also fluent in Mandarin, allowing her to communicate with and care for an even broader part of our diverse Inner West community.
